Enquiries and bookings
Asterlane Learning coordinates one-to-one online tuition for GCSE Maths, Chemistry and Biology, and A-level Maths, Chemistry and Economics. These lessons cost £25 per hour, charged in GBP. Other subjects and curricula are enquiries only. Any GCSE Maths exam board is welcome for enquiries. Tell us your course, goals and preferred weekly times; we review the fit and share the proposed tutor’s details before you decide to book. A questionnaire submission does not guarantee a suitable match or available time.
No parent account is needed to send an enquiry. The team reviews enquiries manually and uses the contact email supplied to discuss the next step. The reference shown after submission helps us find your enquiry. You can also contact the existing Asterlane Facebook Page using its Send message button. This website does not send automatic email notifications.
Sending an enquiry does not confirm a lesson or reserve a time. The tutor, course, exact time, time zone and price must be agreed directly with you before a booking is confirmed. Lessons are one-to-one on Microsoft Teams and last 60 minutes. The tutor or coordinator creates the meeting separately and shares the joining link directly by email or Facebook message. This website does not automatically create Teams meetings or send invitations.
No payment is collected on this website. Payment arrangements must be agreed separately before teaching begins. This version does not process refunds or subscriptions.
To request a cancellation or a different time, reply to your booking conversation or contact Asterlane on Facebook. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice. The original booking remains in place until a change is agreed. A request to change a time is not itself a cancellation or a refund agreement.
Your information
The website stores your contact name and email, the learner’s first name, subject and curriculum, learning goals, preferred availability, time zone, and the permission you give when submitting an enquiry. It stores the enquiry reference and its status so the authorised Asterlane team can review and manage it. Your email is supplied by you; submitting a form does not verify ownership of that address.
These records are used for tuition enquiries, manual follow-up and lesson arrangements. Enquiry records are available to the authorised business administrator and are not publicly searchable. An enquiry reference does not give public access to the record. There are no public learner profiles, advertising trackers or file uploads in this version.
Only share information needed to arrange tuition. Do not include medical records, identity documents or payment-card details in free-text fields. The current form is held in this page while you complete it; it is not saved as a browser draft. Facebook and your email provider handle messages sent through their services under their own policies.
Earlier account-based requests and lesson records remain protected by their existing account access. Those records may include the account identifier, display name and email used at sign-in. New enquiries do not require that account.
The business identity, retention periods and full privacy notice still need to be completed. Please use sample learner details when evaluating the site until this information is in place. You can contact Asterlane through its Facebook Page about information you have submitted.
Parents and learners
Under-18 enquiries and bookings are managed by a parent or legal guardian. Learners aged 18 or over can request tuition for themselves. Send a separate enquiry for each learner.
This website has no private student-to-tutor messaging or lesson-recording feature. Lessons use Microsoft Teams; meeting access, chat and recording settings are managed separately in Teams. Tutor suitability, credentials and safeguarding arrangements must be checked by the business before a tutor is assigned. A profile being added to the system is not evidence of those checks.
A named safeguarding contact, tutor checks, communications rules and reporting arrangements must be in place before lessons for children begin.
Accessibility and assistance
The site is designed for phones, tablets and computers, with keyboard controls and labelled forms. If a form cannot be submitted or you need an update, contact Asterlane on Facebook. A lesson is confirmed only when its details have been agreed directly with you.
